Year 10 End of Year GCSE Assessment - May 2026 

This will assess unit 1.1 Markets and 1.2 Business economics. This will be an adapted paper 1 examination.

Time: The exam will last 80 minutes.

Questions: This will still follow the structure of a paper 1 exam, you will have short questions, MCQs, diagram questions, 3, 6-and 9-mark questions. 

What to revise?

Unit 1.1 The market system:

• The economic problem

• Economic assumptions

• Demand, supply and market equilibrium

• Elasticity

• The mixed economy

• Externalities

Unit 1.2 Business economics:

• Production

• Productivity and division of labour

• Business costs, revenues and profit
