Year 10 End of Year Photography Exam – Pattern Project Outcome (5 Hours)

As we reach the end of Year 10, you will take part in a practical photography exam that mirrors the structure of the real GCSE exam next year. This 5 hour mock exam is your opportunity to create a final outcome for your Pattern Project, which you have been developing since the beginning of Term 2.

Your Pattern Project portfolio – including all your research, photoshoots, experiments, and developments – must be fully submitted on the day of the exam. This preparatory work forms 75% of your final grade for this unit. The remaining 25% will be based on the outcome you produce during the practical exam.

This is your chance to bring together everything you’ve learned so far – from composition and editing techniques to conceptual development – and show how confidently you can work independently to produce a high-quality, creative final piece.
