What are you going to be assessed on?
In the upcoming assessment, you will answer questions that measure your knowledge, application and evaluation skills on topics from biopsychology and perception.
This assessment may include questions worth 1, 2, 4 or 6-marks and there will be one extended response question (9 or 12-marks) overall.
Please find the detailed syllabus for both topics on these papers below:
How can you prepare for these assessments?
Since the beginning of Year 10, we've always said there are 3 key steps to the revision process, that you must follow in order to revise and prepare fully for an assessment:
1. Creation of detailed revision notes - these can be in the form of flashcards, mind maps, voice recordings or drawings. Make sure you're using the iGCSE approved textbook to help with these, you will find a link for this below.
2. Retrieval practice - once you have completed the step above for a given topic or sub-topic, it's time the practice recalling the notes from memory. You can do this using look, cover, check; voice memos; or by quizzing each other/getting family members involved.
3. Exam practice - use the resources below or on teams to put your learning into practice in an exam context. You can also access the mark schemes for additional support on what an examiner is looking for!
