Our Vision and mission:

We are dedicated in empowering learners to explore and deepen their understanding of Islamic culture, history, and faith and become knowledgeable and thinkers.

Our Islamic department is committed to providing an innovative and dynamic Islamic education that reflects the spiritual, intellectual, and social traditions of Islam linked to the UAE Identity and engaging extracurricular activities that foster an inclusive, diverse, and nurturing learning environment. We strive to cultivate lifelong learners who are inspired to make a positive impact on the world through the values and principles of Islam.

Curriculum and approach:

We follow the Ministry of Education curriculum supported by external resources that cover a range of topics that focus on Islamic civilization, Quranic studies, Hadith, Islamic literature, and more. Our department aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Islam and its role in contemporary society.

Students and teachers will reflect on teaching and learning through different forms of assessments such as: online, paper based, projects and The Holy Quraan recitation and surveys.

We evaluate students’ learning and progress according to ADEK requirements using the different forms of assessments: Writing, reciting Quran, performance, and projects. The total grades for all assessments each Term is: 100. The assessments are designed to evaluate specific skills and knowledge: Written assessments 40, reciting Quran 20, applying Tajweed 20, Projects and activities 20. Students complete 2 Summative assessments for each skill per Term.

إلهام الطلاب وتحفيزهم لاستخدام مهاراتهم الخاصة لتعلم واستكشاف الثقافة والتاريخ والعقيدة الإسلامية مما يخلق فرصة تعليمية فريدة مبنية على الفهم والتفكير والابتكار والحوار، ليشمل التعلم كل الطلاب باختلاف مستوياتهم، بهدف مساعدتهم لإحداث التأثير الإيجابي في أنفسهم وفي مجتمعاتهم ، نقوم بتقييم تعلم وتقدم الطلاب باستخدام الأنواع المختلفة من التقييم الرسمي: الكتابي، الإلكتروني، الأداء والمشاريع.

مجموع تقييم الطلاب في كل فصل 100 درجة ، وتستخدم المدرسة توزيع الدرجات المعتمد من أدك ، وهو مقسم كالتالي :

20 درجة تلاوة ، 20 درجة حفظ ، 40 درجة اختبارات ، 20 درجة مشاركة صفية و أنشطة أدائية.

يكمل الطلاب تقييمين اثنين لكل مهارة في كل فصل.

Our current learning

The Islamic Studies curriculum aims at confirming the national identity of students as well as strengthening the brotherhood, affection, and cooperation among them. The curriculum also prepares a student to participate effectively in constructing the society and be updated with global changes. It makes a student more open but wisely to other cultures so that the school provides its students a good and rich opportunity to learn Islamic Studies and maximize its role in students’ life. Islamic education standards are divided into six areas of learning according to the National document in UAE that represent the components of the subject, namely: divine revelation (the Holy Qur’an and the noble hadith) and belief, the values ​​of Islam and its etiquette, the provisions and purposes of Islam, biography and personalities, identity and issues of the modern – day, and these areas are being achievable through measurable learning outcomes. It has been decided that the contents of both the Ministry and IGCSE curriculums are to be integrated from Year 7. This decision is the reflection of our belief of the great benefit that students will have through this plan which will give the student the opportunity to do the IGCSE exams test in Year 11 effectively and efficiently.

ويهدف منهج الدراسات الإسلامية ، إلى تأكيد الهوية الوطنية للطلبة ، وتعزيز أواصر الأخوة والمودة والتعاون بينهم ، كما يقوم المنهج بإعداد الطالب للمشاركة الفعالة في بناء المجتمع ومواكبة التغيرات العالمية.و يجعل الطالب أكثر انفتاحًا - بحكمة - على الثقافات الأخرى بحيث توفر المدرسة لطلابها فرصة جيدة وغنية لتعلم الدراسات الإسلامية وتعظيم دورها في حياة الطلاب. تنقسم معايير التربية الإسلامية إلى ستة مجالات تعليمية حسب الوثيقة الوطنية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة تمثل مكونات المادة وهي: الوحي الإلهي (القرآن الكريم والحديث النبوي الشريف) والعقيدة الإسلامية ، وقيم الإسلام وآدابه. وأحكام الإسلام ومقاصده، والسيرة والشخصيات، والهوية وقضايا العصر، وهذه المجالات يمكن تحقيقها من خلال مخرجات تعلم قابلة للقياس.

لقد تقرردمج مناهج الوزارة ومحتوى IGCSE من السنة السابعة. ويأتي هذا القرار انعكاسًا لإيماننا بالفائدة الكبيرة التي سيحصل عليها الطلاب من خلال هذه الخطة والتي ستمنح الطالب الفرصة للقيام بتأدية امتحانات IGCSE في السنة

New Starters

We are welcoming our new starter and recommend few tips to understand more about Islamic classes.

• يجب تنزيل تطبيق القرآن على جهازك.
• فيما يلي قائمة بالعناصر المطلوبة ليس فقط لدرسك الإسلامي ولكن أيضا لجميع الدروس اللاحقة في BIS Abu Dhabi.
• أحضر جهازك الخاص حتى تتمكن من الوصول إلى الموارد عبر الإنترنت التي سيتم استخدامها أثناء الدرس.
• تأكد من تنزيل Microsoft Teams و OneNote على الكمبيوتر المحمول حيث سيتم استخدام كلاهما في الفصل الدراسي.
• الأدوات المطلوبة : قلم أسود أو أزرق ، ممحاة لتصحيح الأخطاء وتدوين ملاحظات أنيقة ونظيفة وأقلام تلوين لإضافة اللون إلى الخرائط الذهنية والرسوم البيانية حسب الحاجة.
• سيتم تزويدك بدفتر ملاحظات وكتاب الوزارة عند وصولك إلى الفصل وسيضيفك معلمك إلى صفحة فرق الفصل أو OneNote حيث سيكون لديك حق الوصول إلى كل العمل الذي تم إنجازه مسبقا.

1. Quran app should be downloaded on your device.
2. Below is a list of items required not only for your Islamic lesson but also for all subsequent lessons at BIS Abu Dhabi.
3. Bring your own device so you can access online resources that will be used during the lesson.
4. Make sure you have Microsoft Teams and OneNote downloaded on your laptop as both will be used in the classroom.
5. Stationary; A black or blue pen, an eraser for correcting mistakes and making neat, clean notes and colouring pencils for adding colour to the mind maps and diagrams as needed.
6. You will be provided with a notebook and the ministry book when you arrive in class and your teacher will add you to the class Teams page or OneNote where you will have access to all of the work done previously.
