As you may know, learning a language requires regular practice of vocabulary and revision of structures. Every opportunity to be exposed to the language is always an advantage, whether it is speaking or listening to a native speaker, listening to songs in the target language, watching videos, series, films in the target language with subtitles and so on.

In MFL, we expect our students to practice their new vocabulary regularly, through a short task on Education Perfect or Quizlet, as encouraged and set by their teacher.

In addition, here are some activities that students can do throughout the Module of work to practice and be creative with the language further.

FRENCH:

Create a photo story of a past holiday (where, when, how, what, who [with], opinion) in French (you can add scanned photos or draw some pictures)

SPANISH:

Create a ‘ficha del artista’ [artist’s biography] about a spanish speaking celebrity [un Famoso] following the example.

GERMAN:

Create a film billboard or poster advertising your favourite movie or TV show. Use lots of persuasive language to recommend it to your peers. Include lots of colourful images.
