Aim to spend 45 minutes a week making contributions to and reflecting on what you have completed on your BISAD Diploma page.

The BISAD Diploma is a platform where you are able to showcase all the additional things you do alongside your academic learning. There are 9 different categories that you should aim to provide evidence for:

Service Sports and Activities

House Global Campus

Environment STEAM

Culture Leadership

Academics

Some activities will be a 'one off' e.g. Taking part in the Duathlon - this would be recorded in your Sports and Activities section and your teacher will be able to reward you with a bronze award. Other activities will spread over a longer amount of time e.g. Setting up a recycling station in your home and arranging collection. This would be entered in your Environment section and your teacher would likely award you a silver award.

Your reflection should include one of the following words:

Thinker, Communicator, Open-minded, Caring, Inquirer, Risk Taker, Knowledgeable, Reflective, Balanced or Principled.

Here is an example of a 'good reflection':

My grandparents live in RAK. They have a farm there that me and my family love to visit during half term and some weekends. This summer I stayed with them for three weeks and helped my grandparents around the farm. My favourite part of the summer was my uncle teaching me how to shave a beehive for honey! I was a risk taker climbing the tree (but felt safe knowing generations before me had done the same!) I can’t wait to taste the honey that I collected.

Your BISAD Diploma app allows you to also add a photograph or evidence of what you have done - this is a great way of showing your teacher exactly what you have done and the outcome of your action. It is also a great way of recording a memory for you to look back on later.

Once you have submitted your reflection your form tutor will read it through and then award you with, Bronze, Silver or Gold. Keep an eye on your spelling and punctuation, if your reflection has lots of mistakes it will be returned to you for editing.

A one-off event - Bronze Award

A commitment to an activity over an extended period of time - Silver Award

Two additional activities over an extended period of time or a one off 'big impact' entry - Gold Award.
